2026 Versatile Vertical Tillage - Viking 9 in VT345

Versatile tillage equipment has been proven over hundreds of thousands of acres and five decades of groundbreaking expertise have been used to develop the adaptable and rugged Versatile Viking.

The vertical tillage tool will cut, chop and size difficult residue in the most demanding ground conditions while at the same time mixing the residue into the top 1" to 5" of soil. The Versatile Viking is designed for multi-season tillage thanks to an adjustable gang angle that can work through spring seedbed preparation and fall residue management with ease. Customize the implement to perform in a wide range of field and soil condition with gang angles that can be manually or hydraulically adjusted from 0-12° in 4°increments.

Spring

Use a shallow angle to prepare a seedbed. Lightly tilling the soil cuts and spreads residue evenly. This mix of soil and residue promotes decay while nutrients are brought forward. The opened soil surface lets in air flow which allows excess moisture to escape as well as aiding in the warming of the seedbed to promote rapid emergence.

Fall

Use a more aggressive angle for maximum residue management. The Viking VT shows its versatility by being able to perform light primary tillage operations in a wide variety of soils, promoting the breakdown of residue and incorporating trash into the top layer of soil to reduce over-winter erosion.

The Stone-Flex bearing hangers that support the gangs are designed to absorb shock loads at the higher working speeds and react to both vertical and horizontal forces. The ability to adjust each gang from 0 to 12° means that the Viking is more than just vertical tillage. With an angle of 0-4°, the Viking maintains a vertical cut in the soil, providing the benefits of vertical tillage. At 8-12°, the Viking can replace light primary tillage on the farm for fall and spring field work.

• T2-215 Trunnion Mounted Bearings

Exclusive to Versatile the T2-215 series bearings are trunnion mounted to provide positive alignment and handle gang shaft deflection that results from shock loads. Two 215 series ball bearings are positioned back-to-back within the oversized greaseable housing. Each bearing unit is rated at 22,800 lb radial load, well beyond any challenges they would face in the field, which is why Versatile is confident in providing a 7 year warranty on the T2-215 bearing assembly.
